In recent years,China’s international prestige is rising constantly and its international influence becomes bigger and bigger,exchanges and cooperation between countries are deepening.The study of Mandarin has certainly grow in recent years,China’s international prestige is rising constantly and it has an increasing influence over the whole world,and exchanges and cooperation between countries are deepening.With the growing of the Mandarin craze,more and more people are interested in Chinese and Chinese culture and then many people have started to learn Chinese.Allegorical idioms is a very special part in Chinese vocabulary,foreign students have a complicated felling with it.They love the Chinese culture in it while they fear that they can’t use it correctly.In practical teaching and use,there are many biased errors in using allegorical idioms which brings higher requirements to the teaching of allegorical idioms.Based on the analysis on application of allegorical idioms for middle-level and high-level foreign students,this article analyses the errors occurred in the foreign students’ usage of allegorical idioms.And then figure out the reasons for the errors in pronunciation,semantics,grammar,and pragmatics.At last,some suggestions are given to promote the allegorical idioms teaching.For example,in pronunciation,correcting the phonetic mistakes should though the whole teaching process;in semantics,grammar,and pragmatics,teachers need to stress out the differences between Chinese and foreign languages;in culture,culture learning should parallel with the language learning.The research significance of this article is figuring out the reasons for errors in foreign students’ usage of allegorical idioms and then make some helpful suggestions in teaching this specific type of words.Looking forward to these suggestions can serve as a modest spur to induce valuable contributions in vocabulary teaching.
