with the rapid progress of the Chinese economy and its growing influences in the world,more and more universities now have Chinese language department,and more Confucius institutes open around the world,the Arab student of Chinese language are also increasing rapidly.There are 22 Arabian countries located in west Asia and North Africa,any study on Chinese language teaching for Arabic speaking students will be useful in all of the other countries.According to the research on CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure)there are only few research targeting Arab students and more research is defiantly needed.This paper is based on Khartoum University Confucius institute student's composition.This research adopted error analyses of student's Chinese language composition from four main angles: vocabulary,grammar,punctuation and the writing of Chinese character.This paper will use the method of statistic analysis and comparison between the two languages to specify the difficulties that face the Arab students in studying Chinese language and the reason of their errors to providing a teaching suggestions help avoid these mistakes.This paper is divided into six chapters.Chapter one is an introduction of this research and the reason of its importance,Describes the current research on this field,and a background of theoretical basis of this paper.Chapter two and chapter three are for categorizing and analyzing of student's Chinese language composition errors in the elementary and the more advanced level respectively;the error are divided into four category : vocabulary,grammar,punctuation and Chinese character writings errors.Chapters four analyze the cause of these errors and perform comparison between the two languages.Chapter five gives teaching suggestion organized into four categories;vocabulary teaching suggestions,grammar teaching suggestions,punctuation teaching suggestions and Chinese character teaching suggestions.Chapter six is epilogue and summery of this paper.
