The Memory Of Ancient Flood Event In Shuowen Jiezi

Shuowen Jiezi,which based on the original meaning of Chinese characters and stored the meanings system of ancient Chinese words,is an indispensable material for the study of ancient historical culture.The study of ancient flood memory is carried out from the perspective of cultural memory with the characters of Shui(?)radical in Shuowen Jiezi.The study of ancient flood memory is carried out from the perspective of cultural memory with the characters of Shui(?)radical in Shuowen Jiezi,which can not only offer numerous credible corroboration for ancient myths and legends about ancient floods,but also provide first-hand and vivid materials on Chinese and Characters to the study of cultural memory.Combined with the trinity method of language,text,and culture,the essay explores ancient memory with the meaning system.This attempt hopes to play a role in attracting relevant research.The paper links related words of the Shui(?)radical in Shuowen Jiezi with the background of flood cultural memory,and constructs the flood semantics system based on the flood semantic field.Through the mutual comparison of the words in the system and proof assistant of classical documents and unearthed documents,the essay reproduces the memory of the ancient flood scene by using induction,deduction,comprehensive analysis and other methods.The article is composed of five chapters.The first chapter carries out a background study.Reviewing the research status of flood myths both at home and abroad to points out the deficiencies of China's research,and reviewing the international and domestic cultural memory theories to highlight the special values of ancient Chinese characters and ancient Chinese in cultural memory study.The second chapter is the basic part which aims to study the semantic system of Shui(?)radical.The semantic system is macroscopicly divided into three categories,namely the water,water and nature,and water and human beings.Each category is subdivided into several subcategories.The semantic system is formed by discussing the interrelationship and distinction between classes and characters.The third chapter discusses the memory of ancient flood in Shuowen Jiezi.Taking the cultural memory theory as the guiding theory and using the three flood recordings in the Shuowen Jiezi as a clue,the semantic system of ancient flood is formed to reproduce the ancient flood memory scene.The fourth chapter studies the direct and indirect effects of ancient flood memory on the Chinese nation from the perspective of cultural memory.
