The issue concerning farmers, agriculture and the countryside is a big problem in China, which is extremely complex, including many aspects, such as the rural economy, rural urbanization, agricultural taxation, rural medical care, etc. To some extent, rural development represents the overall development of the country, especially in a large agricultural country like China. The villagers'autonomy is the result of the value pursuit of millions upon millions of farmers and the democratization process in China. The rights of autonomy are the core contents of the villagers' autonomy and important components of the contemporary Chinese democracy. It is the most extensive political participation form that the largest number of people get involved in, which is significant to the development of China's human rights. The rights of the villagers'autonomy are the core contents of the villagers' autonomy. From a legal perspective, the villagers' autonomy is related to many contents, such as protection of the migrant workers'rights, farmers' rights of social security, realization of rural democracy, the electoral system of villagers, rural democratic supervision, and so on.Along with the development of the villagers' autonomy, the researches on the villagers' autonomy in our country have been widespread for the fourth time. In the "Constitution" ratified in December 1982, Article 111 has granted the villagers'committees the "autonomous organizations at the grass-roots level" position, and established the basic principles of the villagers'autonomy. In November of 1987, the National People's Congress approved the Organic Law of the Villagers'Committees (Trial Implementation). In 1998, the National People's Congress formally promulgated the Organic Law of Villagers' Committee. Most local governments also set their own specific implementation measures of the Organic Law of Villagers' Committee and the election methods of the villagers committee. Therefore, a relatively complete legal system of villagers' committee has come into being. The villagers' autonomy in China is gradually causing extensive attention home and abroad. The relevant works has been published continuously, including all aspects of the villagers' autonomy, relevant to such fields as politics, sociology, economics, history, management and law. However, these researches on the villagers' autonomy mostly focused on the system, the necessity and the feasibility of autonomy, few on the rights of villagers'autonomy. This paper puts "rights of the villagers'autonomy" as the breakthrough point, explores the concept and features of villagers'autonomy, reviews the historical development of the villagers' autonomy, elaborates the basic theories of villagers'autonomy, then summarizes the legal origins of the villagers'autonomy, expounds the theories of operation, and finally discusses the alienation of the villagers'autonomy and remedial ways. This thesis is divided into seven parts. The introduction puts forward the purpose and significance of the topic, and provides the literature basis and research methods. The second and the third part deal with a general analysis of the villagers' autonomy, and summarize the evolution of the villagers'autonomy and its theoretical foundation. The fourth part summarizes and analyzes the current dilemma of the villagers' autonomy in China. The fifth and the sixth part respectively analyze the realization ways of villagers'autonomy from the perspective of the substantive law and procedural law. The conclusion part explores the development trend of the villagers' autonomy.
