Study On Elderly Support Security Issue Of Rural Empty-Nest Elderly In Jilin Province Under Population Aging Background

The so-called population aging refers to the process of reaching certain proportion and continuous growth of middle-aged and elderly population in society. Population aging is the inevitable result of social economic development, and also the representation of social progress. However, the proportion of population aging should be controlled within certain scope. With the further progress of China's economic development and the comprehensive promotion of family planning, the trend of population aging in China becomes increasingly obvious, characterized by large population base of rural elderly and rapid population aging speed. The special group of empty-nest elderly generated due to the migrant work of rural youths. Taking Jilin Province as research scope and adopting multiple research approaches such as literature research and field survey, this paper analyzed the status existing in elderly support for rural empty-nest elderly in Jilin Province at present, explored its cause and proposed countermeasures.With the rapid development of economic society at present, Jilin Province has rapidly entered aging status. Empty-nest elderly in Jilin Province faces insufficient social security, unsatisfactory medical security, backward cultural guarantee, imperfect rights and interests guarantee, and unsound social welfare as well as social relief and aid mechanism. Beijing, Shanghai, and Anhui Province, etc effectively improved the elderly support status of rural elderly via innovating elderly support mode and guaranteeing minimum subsistence, possessing certain enlightenment significance to Jilin Province. Referring to the experience of advanced area, the elderly support level of rural empty-nest elderly can be improved via raising pension to guarantee basic living demands from multiple angles, perfecting medical system to ensure health requirement, increasing publicity strength to encourage family elderly support, and accelerating basic welfare (such as welfare institute) construction to improve social relief and aid mechanism.
