With the stable development of economy and the continuous improvement of people's living standard of our country, the elderly population proportion of the population is rising. The aging population of china is more and more serious. At the same time, with the accelerating of urbanization, industrialization process and social transformation, a large number of rural labors come to the cities, contributing for the city development. Nevertheless, the traditional pattern of rural family endowment pattern has received the serious challenge, due to the growth of rural empty-nest elderly,and the rural empty-nest elderly problems have become a increasingly serious social problem.The city of Wenzhou is located in the east of our country, the economy is relatively developed, the industrialization level is higher, but rural ageing problems still exist.Especially, the ancient villages in the remote are more outstanding, such as the ancient town Tengjiao, the number of empty nesters is on the rise in recent years. In this article,we will start from the concept of empty-nest elderly, empiric-al analysis on the problems of the rural empty nest elderly of Tengjiao, to learn more about the causes of the formation of rural empty-nest elderly problems. We know that the acceleration of urbanization, the migration of young adults and their children, the gap between rural cultures and urban culture, the desalination of supporting the elderly in younger generation, the Children's economic difficulties and the degradation of body function,lack of concerning of emotion, result in the issues of economic and life care, emotional care and health in empty-nest elderly. In understanding the experience of our country and abroad about the problem of empty nesters, according the actual, put forward the countermeasures to solve the problem of rural empty-nest elderly in China. Government should establish a sound pension system, accelerate the construction of a sound basic medical and health system; communities also should perform their functions, speed up the establishment and improvement of grass-roots organizations in rural areas for elderly;children have duty to ensure the material provision, pay attention to the spirit of elderly,inherit filial piety culture, help the elderly to change their concepts, for better adapt to life.
