Research On Old-age Security For The Empty-nest Elderly In Rural China

"In the modern phenomena, the aging of the population the most incontrovertible, most easily measured, the consequences are the most regularly, the most easy to predict in advance, and the most influential"(A. Sauvy).Since 1850, the France found its population aged over 60 accounted for 10%,and until today, human gradually transition to a new society - an aging society, can be said that the aging of the population will be accompanied by the 21st century. Under the background of aging of the population,we are still in the key period of social transformation.Industrialization and urbanization are accelerating, large quantities of rural labour are moving into town, which further promote the rural empty nester family emerged and increase annually. Empty nester family appeared reflectes the progress of the society. It also exposes the predicament of the rural elderly endowment predicament.This paper based on depth interviews as the main research method ,and conducted field research in the town of Xinshi,and analyzed the situation of the endowment in the rural through the economic support, life care, the spiritual support and rights protection. According to the future development trend of rural old-age support security and local actual condition, the author puts forward the base ideas of the rural empty nester family, suggesting mainly from the government and the community as well as the family level. This paper proposes the main task at all levels with the main due responsibilities, and common dignity to create positive conditions for empty nest elderly in rural areas.Each national governments is facing or will face the problem of endowment problem. In China, especially the rural elderly population endowment is always the focus of the society, rural old-age empty nester's endowment relationship with the happiness of life for rural elderly, rural social security system consummation and the rural construction of harmonious society,and also on the success of our country to achieve social transformation.
