Prison is an organ of the state for executing criminal punishments, is to protect people's life and property and the foundation of national security. As to maintain normal operation of prison work, prison police is facing greater challenge, must be in the thoughts and keep highly consistent, the ideological and political education in the important position, attach importance to theoretical study, pay attention to self-cultivation, is good at the point of view of ideological and political education to carry out in their work and the education of the treatment of prisoners.This paper first expounds the ideological and political education in the new period and the eighteenth big meeting and the change of the prison work, the concept and development of ideological and political education, illustrates the concept of prison police and ideological and political education.
