Research Onsecurtiyissueandgovernance In Guangxi And Vietnamese Borderland

Recently the smuggling activities in borderland between Guangxi and Vietnam has been increasingly rampant while the economy cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN countries has been growing prosperity. It consequently brings pressure to the border order, affect the stability and development to frontier society, and endanger the security of our border area. This thesis use literature data method, data statistics analysis method, logical analysis method, field survey method,background research and case analysis method to analyze the reasons of smuggling in Guangxi and Vietnamese borderland, including the large number of Vietnamese idle labor illegally entered into China to find employment, transnational border marriage leaded to widespread acts of illegal immigration, and the benefits of smuggling activities in Guangxi and Vietnamese border area promote the frequently illegal cross-border activities.To effectively manage the border area, the government should to strengthen the poverty alleviation and develop the border economy, raise the border awareness of people living in borderland and build border trade fairs, further improve the domestic legislation and strengthen border management, simplify the handling procedure of cross-border marriage to reduce the illegal cross-border behavior for purpose of marriage, expand the role of non-governmental organization, strengthen the dialogue and cooperation of Chinese and Vietnamese governments in border security and frontier governance.
