The Historical Investigation Of The CPC Fighting Against "Two Nationalism" In 1950s

In our country, "Two nationalism" refers to Chauvinism (mainly Han chauvinism) and local nationalism(narrow nationalism). It is a negative tendency,which has exclusivity and insularity,endangering the unity of nationalities and national stability. Regarding Lenin and Stalin's related statements as theoretical source, the CPC began to criticize "Two nationalism" during Democratic Revolution Period,providing certain experience for overcoming this negative tendency or error idea after the foundation of new China.In 1950s, the CPC carried on the massive struggle against "Two nationalism". Before 1957,the CPC fought against Han chauvinism mainly by carrying out two inspections on the implementation of ethnic policies.Han chauvinism has many kinds of manifestations,and exists in the form of consciousness or unconsciousness.Its causes can be analyzed from the aspects of history and reality and so on.The success of the first ethnic policy inspection made the members of the CPC and the masses begin to carry out ideological inspection,and they also realized their own mistakes; the success of the second ethnic policy inspection was to make the formation of the consciousness of them to fight against this error tendency.After 1957,the CPC took fighting against local nationalism as the core.Opposing the CPC and the socialism was regarded as the main manifestation of local nationalism.In the national Anti-Rightist Movement,to carried out rectification movement and socialist education movement that to fought against the local nationalism developed into a kind of movement.The struggle against "Two nationalism" acquired remarkable effect,but it also left a profound lesson.The reason is that the extension of the class struggles and regarding national contradiction as class contradiction,causing the contradictions between ourselves and enemy and the contradictions among people to be confused in the practical work.We can obtain the following enlightenments through summarizing the historical experience of the CPC fighting against "Two nationalism"in 1950s.
