Abstract/Summary:
Online shopping is growing fast in China as the development of Internet technology and the prevalence of PC.The efficiency,convenience and quickness of the online trading brings benefits to consumers and makes itself popular among customers.However,the online trading without any doubt has challenged the traditional consumers’ rights and puts consumers to a more disadvantaged situation than e-trading operators. As one of the most important rights of consumers’ rights,consumers’ right to know is the basic prerequisite of other consumers’ rights as well as the key factor for e-commercial market to grow healthily. Based on the facts discussed above, it is urgent to protect consumers’ right to know in online shopping.This article summarizes consumers’ right to know in online trading and analyze both the reasons and situations of consumers’ right to know infringement with the methodologies of case study,comparative and other methodologies.Meanwhile,this article provides suggestions on consumers’ right to know in China’s online shopping based on the combination of the legislation experiences of other countries and our own Chinese characters.Last but not the least, this article practically contributes the ideas about how to protect consumers’ right to know in online shopping in four ideal aspects,namely:the suggestions to improve e-commerce information disclosure system;strengthen the administrative supervision of online shopping;establishment of better credit evaluation system;improve relief system of infringement consumers’ right to know in online shopping.
