The Research About Government Role In Different Categories Of Public Goods Providing Under The Background Of Transformation

With the social environment becoming increasingly diversified and complicated, the demand of government to strengthen the comprehensive management is increasing. Therefore, the government is not only the economic public service provider, but also the social basic public service provider in the increasingly complex and pluralistic social environment to become social comprehensive manager. The supply of public goods is one of the important responsibility of government. Since our country's founding, after playing an important role in specific environment and period, all-capable government positioning faced transformation. In our country, the change of government role in the supply of public goods is the reflection of government functions' transformation. So the research about government role based on different categories of public goods is of great significance to clarify the government function in public goods supply and to improve the performance of public service. This paper is based on different categories of public goods, to explore the government's reality roles and ideal roles in supply of different categories of public goods from its characteristic, and through the empirical case inspection to analysis the reason of government role's variation, from which to explore the improvement path of government public service performance.
