Study On Well-being Of Undergraduate Students In Military School From The Perspective Of Military Political Work

Military political work must pay more attention to the soldiers’ happiness. The thesis adopts methods of questionnaire investigation, group discussions and individual interviews, and discovers the status quo and influencing factors of the well-being of military undergraduate students.From the investigation, the current military undergraduates possess higher overall well-being, significantly higher than that of local undergraduates; undergraduate students who feel quite happy pursue 100% identity on the value of the military occupation, and enjoy happy and active military life; those who feel happy approve military career, and feel enriched in learning and training; those who have general well-being adapt to military life basically, but lack sense of existence; those who feel not quite happy suffer lack of hardship thinking, and feel boring, single about learning and training; those who feel happy not at all apply for military school by complex motivations, longing for the local students’ freedom.The author deems that the students’ sense of happiness is influenced by their own values, as well as by the cultivation mode of military school and the whole social environment, including values, learning achievement, education management, internal and external relations, material benefits and campus culture and so forth. Therefore, to improve military undergraduate students’ sense of happiness, we must deepen the value education and guide the students to reap the greatest happiness in military occupation value; through scientific education and training, build the environment for talents’ growing, and make learning and training become a process for students’ feelings of happiness and the pursuit of happiness; through the close relationship between inside and outside, let students enjoy happiness in the feelings of respect and care; by paying attention to material interests and solving the practical difficulties, let the students perceive happiness in the fulfillment of personal demand; through the lively atmosphere in campus, enrich the students’ sense of happiness at spiritual level.
