Military welfare system is an essential part of military political work in Taiwan. It plays an important role in caring soldiers' family, bearing career risks, conducting employment of the retired soldiers, and has a profound influence on the morale of soldiers, army construction and preparation for the war, and even the stability of the whole society of the island. Thus, the thesis, in the first place, analyses the research significance of Taiwan's military welfare system deeply and states the research situation and the research methodology and innovative points of the study. And then, based on the conception, development history and theoretical basis, Taiwan's military welfare system is sorted out as five parts: military social insurance, military retirement and compassionate, military preferential treatment and care service, military career planning and transfer, and veterans' welfare, which is reached through looking up, demonstrating and analyzing myriad materials and data of Taiwan's army. Next, the organization and implement of the system are explored in terms of the guiding thought, the administrative agency and the policy focus. According to the analysis, it is concluded that the military welfare system is influenced by the eastern and western ideas and has the sound construction, high marketization and novel vehicles, which are the four salient features. On the other hand, the system is not so steady and cost highly for maintenance. And also, the implement is not so successful and the inspiration effectiveness is limited. Eventually, grounded on the object appraise, this thesis gets two some enlightenments from two aspects: deepening the reform of PLA's military welfare system and improving the political work towards Taiwan and its army.
