Research On The Dilemma And Localization Strategy Of Rural Social Work

With the implementation of the policy of harmonious society, social work develops in the city rapidly. As the local urban social workgain experience, people began to pay close attention to the rural area. Rural social work seemed to come alive, it became an important field of social work. Rural social work plays an important rolein the development and construction of rural area which provides better explanation and solution for the construction of rural communities, self-administration and better services for disadvantaged groups. But the rural social work is still in the primary stage of development, summed up the local work experiencecan help us to make up the lack of empirical data of China's rural social work research, to understand the problems and confusion in the process of rural social work practice and to explore the strategies of local rural social work practice.I participated in the Zhengcheng Project which provided services for the ZX town in Guangzhou in the past three years(2013 ?-2015 ?). This paper chose Zhengcheng Project as a case study to make a full range analysis of difficulties encountered in the rural social work practicethrough a large number of first-hand practice cases.From the subject's view, we may encounter role conflict, talent and professional dilemma. Identity dilemma, cultural dilemma and difficulties in participation may happen from the object dimension. And the system dilemma, the resource dilemma and the structural dilemma also cannot be ignored. Summarize and analyze the practical difficulties of rural social work can help to prevent or deal with related problems, improve service efficiency.On the basis of analysis of the difficulties, this paper use professional social work theory such as the Social Support Theory, the Advantage Perspective, Field Theory to form a set of practical rural social work localization strategy with the local practice experience. To be specific, we should make the value notion of social work discipline integrate into the rural community, use more flexible approach, raise professional talented person, attract more service subjects, diversify the role of social worker and set up permanent organizations of villager.
