Study On Social Cohesion Of Contemporary Chinese Youth Under The Perspective Of Social Mentality

Social cohesion is not only the link between national unity and social solidarity,but an important indicator of social harmony.Stronger social cohesion makes the spirits of mission and cooperation between people stronger and leads to the higher degree of social harmony.In our social reform period,however,as many problems have arisen in Chinese social psychology,the social cohesion has been weakened and thus become an important issue we should face.As the arising star of our nations,young generations should be paid much attention to enhance their social cohesion as to the future development of the CPCC and our country.In this paper,we study the issue of social cohesion in youth generations by following the guidance of Marxism and the perspective of social psychology.Through sorting out the relevant concepts such as social psychology and social cohesion,we analyze the inherent relationship between social psychology and social cohesion,factors relevant to social psychology and the features of Chinese social cohesion,indicating the significance of social cohesion.By showing one questionnaire,we present the reality of social cohesion behind youth generations in contemporary China;explore the recognition of youth groups,sense of belonging,the sense of justice and fairness.These help us to better understand and grasp the mentality of youth groups,understand the changes and development of young generation's social cohesion.Finally,based on the survey results and influencing factors,we claim that to enhance social cohesion,we need to follow the guidance of Marxism,construction of CPCC as the foundation and the people-oriented principle,respectively.We need to explore different ways and means to enhance social cohesion.To be specific,at the conceptual level,we need to adhere to the scientific theories so as to improve social responsibility,to establish the right public values,to improve social identity,to strengthen vocational ethics and the sense of belonging;At the relations level,we have to deal with the relationship between government and citizen,enhance the authority of the ruling party and improve inter-social group relations,enhance participation of youth activities,build harmonious inter-citizen relations,enhance the sense of social trust in young generation;At the distributional level,we need to optimize allocations of social resources,promote social fairness and justice,improve the social security system,improve the life quality of young generation,to share spiritual achievements with them,to enhance the happiness index in youth,so as to provide reference for the scientific development of effective interventions.
