Research On The Influence Of Internet Public Opinion On Public Policy Making

The network brings people a new virtual space where they can express freely their opinions on social problems, all of which form the netizen opinions through the Internet. Compared to conventional expression of public opinion, netizen opinions have their own characteristics, and netizen opinions are the direct and real expressions of the public opinions. Our government can have a close contact with the public through the Internet and get a general and real opinion from the public. All of these can help the government to make scientific and sensible public policy.Public opinion is the cornerstone of public policy formulation. With the rapid development of network media, compared with the traditional channels to express public opinion, the new channel of network has become a beautiful scenery line for the public to express public opinion in the democratic political life. There emerge many network public events in recent years, and the rise of network public opinion has brought about profound and significant influences on China's public policy formulation. The thesis focuses on the influences of network public opinion on the public policy formulation, and discusses the interactive relationships between network public opinion and public policy formulation from their basic theories. Then, this paper analyzes the main influences of network on public policy formulation. Finally, the author will put forward some route selections to regulate network public opinion and ensure public policy formulation more scientific.This paper is mainly divided into three parts: Introduction, Body and Conclusion. The Introduction briefly introduces the significance of the topic, research status at home and abroad, research ideas and research method.The Body includes three parts. The first part explains in detail the definitions of network public opinion and public policy and their own characteristics. The definition of netizen opinion is that the mass resort to the Internet to express their own thought and will. The netizen opinion is characterized by the equal participation of the netizens, virtual environment and timely and direct expression. This part also covers the definition of public policy, the great role of our Party and government, the difficulty in social transformation time and unsound system in making public policy. In addition, the author analyzes the interaction between netizen opinion and public policy formulation. The second part explores the positive and negative influences exerted by the netizen opinion on public policy formulation.
