Research On The Problem Of Employment Of The Disabled In Fujian Province

The disabled is a typical vulnerable group in social life. For the disabled, employment is an important foundation to improve living conditions and obtain economic incomes, it's also an important way to share the achievements of reform and development, participate in the society and realize the value of themselves. However, due to their own physical and psychological barriers, social exclusion and discrimination, the disabled become a vulnerable group in the labor market and can't obtain equal opportunity to get jobs like normal people. Helping disabled people to get jobs is common responsibility of nation and society,and is great significance to promote equal participation of the disabled in social life, to maintain social long period of stability, to share the fruits of reform and development, and to achieve the goal of a comprehensive well-off society.This paper is under the background of the economic transition period and the decisive period of building a well-off society. Based on the statistical analysis of the statistical data and the 2014 Sampling survey data of the disabled in Fujian Province, the paper describes the current situation of the disabled employment,and points out the problems,such as the employment rate is low, the employment level is poor, the employment form is single, the income and living standard is low and so on.Next,the paper analysis the reasons for the employment of the disabled from three perspectives of disabled themselves, the society and organization and the government. Based on this,combined with the successful experience of developed countries such as Sweden, Germany, the United States, Japan on promoting the employment of disabled persons, the paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promoting the employment of the disabled. Hoping this paper can provide valuable reference for the research of related academic areas and the development of the employment of the disabled.
