| In Marxism, the concept of ideology indicates that ideological superstructure is determined by the economic base. It is a social phenomenon inevitably brought by upholding the existence of a society and its development. This article is aimed at researching the communication of state ideology discourse in rural areas in China from 1949 to 1976, to select an individual case to observe microscopically in villages of Pingtan - a frontline city of Fujian to Taiwan, to investigate the process of the state ideological influence on the rural community after the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, to analyze the emergence and communication route of ideological text and discourse in this process and the restructuring on the rural audience.This article is to research the production and communication of the state ideological discourse and text through the perspective of communication, to collect primary sources by employing in-depth interviewing with references to inspect this issue in historical context. To this article, the transformation of the state ideology during 1949-1976 went through implantation to infiltration. The role of ideological state apparatuses, such as education, culture and media etc. in production and dissemination of state ideological discourse and the function of "the theatre’s effect" on political life were very important. And there had different encoding and decoding approaches to rural audiences’ discourse understanding. This article aims to provide a new perspective on studying the rural ideology dissemination with microscopic examination on individual cases in this period. |
