A Comparative Research On The Military Education In Universities Between Mainland China And Taiwan

In view of the increasingly serious national security situation,both universities in mainland China and Taiwan to carry out the responsibility by conducting military education to maintain the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Chinese nation. The theory of military education in universities mainly includes the origin of thought, related laws, regulations, and relevant theory of military education. Through the comparison of military education's present situation in universities between mainland China and Taiwan, we found that there are some different aspects, such as the guiding ideology, education objectives, curriculum teaching, teachers' construction, system security, and so on. Overall, the idea and operation of mainland China's military education in universities are traditional, but Taiwan military education in universities in some ways can keep pace with the times, it is worth our using for reference. Mainland China's universities, of course, military education has the advantage of it as a results of quality education, and not just emphasize the actual operation on military skills, it will be great help in improving university students' humanistic quality. Through comparison and analysis, this study considers that some of the advanced aspects of Taiwan's military education in universities are valuable to mainland China's military education universities. We want through the innovation of educational idea, to solve the existing problems, and improve the deficiencies. Therefore, on the basis of comparative study, this study put forward four constructive suggestions to mainland China's military education in universities:first, to build a scientific system of military education's theory in universities; second, to perfect the military education's curriculum and teaching in universities; thirdly, to construct teachers' professional training; finally,to establish open military education system in universities.
