The Analysis Of Russia's Central Asia Strategy In The Context Of The Silk Road Economic Belt

Central Asia is located in the center of Eurasia.It just likes bridge connecting the western and eastern part,linking the north and the south.The important geo-strategic position and abundant energy resources make it world's big game's area,where exists multiple mechanism.In September of 2013,Chairman Xi Jinping advanced a new developing proposal called "One Belt One Road" in University of Nazarbayev in Kazakhstan.Central Asia plays an vital role in Silk Road Economic Belt.In this background,China and central Asian countries actively cooperate in various fields.In addition to China,Russia is also an important big country in this area and it always treats Central Asia as its traditional sphere of influence and safety barrier,especially after the crisis in the Ukraine,Russia's economy continues to weaken.It pays more attention to the interests of geopolitical strategy in Central Asia,and hopes to promote cooperation with Central Asia in order to build up strength.At present,China and Russia are two important force adjacent to Central Asia.They have common interests in the region,but are also hard to avoid overlapping interests and collision,especially after proposal of the silk road economic belt,China's rising in this area has influenced Russia's economic,security,cultural strategy in different degree.In this paper,on the basis of the theory of geopolitics,we will deeply go into details of these mentioned effects,and come up with anticipation of Russia's strategy in central Asia.During the study,in the framework of theory of geopolitics,taking advantage of system analysis method,we will classify the geopolitical variables and analyze the variables that are involved in the silk road economic belt and research on the influence of various variables.At the same time we will figure out Russia's demands in each fields.In terms of these variables'affects,if influence is consistent with the demands,the influence is positive.Otherwise,negative.Then,based on the historical method and comparative analytic method to comb and analyze the evolution of Russia's strategy in Central Asia.Last but not least,in terms of the first two parts and new Eurasian doctrine we will predict Russia's central Asia strategy.This is conducive to China's geopolitical strategy towards Russia and can respond in time to ensure the construction of the silk road economic belt.
