Research On Saint Simon's Utopian Socialism

As a French great ideologist in the early nineteenth century,Claude Henri Saint-Simon created the most perfect utopian socialist system.Marx and Engels called Saint-Simon's ideological system "the original socialist and communist System " in the Manifesto of the Communist Party,and be proud to inherit his thoughts.Saint-Simon has provided the source of theory for the development of modern socialism with his gifted vision.He has ideas about social division of labor and ownership,which now seems to be of an advanced significance.It is of some reference value to study the socialist thought of Saint Simon 's thought of socialism and to solve the problems of socialist construction,especially market economy reform.This paper includes five chapters,and doing a system research from the background,development and main details of Saint-Simon's utopian socialism.And in the last two chapters,will analysis the foundations and limitations of Saint-Simon's utopian socialism,compared with the scientific socialism,finding the similarity and the reasons.Chapter one illustrate the research background and the meaning of this research,conclude the achievement both from home and abroad;chapter two taking the background of Saint-Simon's utopian socialism as the research object,from the personal background,historical environment and theoretical background;chapter three discusses the main contents of Saint-Simon's utopian socialism,and partly discussed with reality;chapter four will give some personal views of its historical status and historical limitations;chapter five will compared Saint-Simon's utopian socialism and science socialism to explore the relationship between two socialisms on the beyond.Specifically,suffered from revolutions and wars,and under the influence of the early fantasy socialist ideology,the Enlightenment and the development of the natural sciences,Saint Simon came out of the socialist ideology,formed a more systematic and comprehensive socialism institutional conception and concrete the realization method.The new philosophy established by Saint-Simon emphasizes the main task of intellectuals,making industry as the core of socialism and proposing the distribution of income by talent and contribution.He first came out with the idea of planning economy,government macro control economy,which in now a days still advance should be learned.His plans about democratic election,establish political parties and European Union,are all leading and scientific.In addition,St.Simon made a lot of efforts to achieve his socialist ideas that actively to the rulers of the invitation,to some extent,close to the historical materialism,which inspired later thinkers,but also for the emergence of scientific socialism as the role of foundation.However,due to the limitations of history,some of Saint Simon's view are serious shortcomings.He did not see the hidden contradiction in the underdeveloped economic relations for his incomplete materialist.Saint Simon despised the revolutionary forces for the proletariat has not shown their power to transform society,and hold the idea of peace as the only way to achieve social transformation.What's more,Saint-Simon's declaration of racial superiority also highlights his incomplete materialist conception of history.This paper will use variety of methods to analysis the Saint Simon Utopia socialism,and contrast to scientific socialism in ideological,trying to find some worth learning to build characteristic Chinese Socialism,and committed to exploring the contribution of Saint Simon Utopia socialism to the development of scientific socialism,to face the value of holy minds of socialism,to understand the theoretical system of utopian socialism and the scientific society Doctrine of the relationship between the theoretical system to provide a reference perspective.
