Accompanied by social transition from all kinds of challenges,the rapid development of the media in this information age and the development of civic consciousness in our society have put forward higher requirements to build a'service-oriented'government transparent government.Diversified communication channels,complex media ecology also give the government,especially the lack of experience of local governments more responsibility and challenges.Even under the normal mode,due to the lack of necessary media literacy and media relations management strategy,the local government is interecting with an important subject known as the media relations managements.In this paper,based on the review of related literature analysis,and combined with a specific case study,the author applied integrated theories in the main three displines such as public relations,communications and sociology,which targeted on governmental affairs talk radio program named as "Zheng Feng Hang Feng hotline" in S city.It makes a systematic and in-depth discussion on the current situation of the government's handling of media relations and the corresponding strategies and suggestions in the social media era.The full text is divided into five parts.The first chapter explains the origin and purpose of the study,and then analyzes the relevant literature,putting forward the theoretical framework of the thesis and the main research methods and paths.In the second chapter,the author elaborates and defines the core concepts of this paper,including the meaning of media relations,governmental media relations,as well as the necessity of the media In the third chapter,by analyzing the motive conditions,basic characteristics and influencing factors of the formation of government media relations in China,we further put forward the ideal government media relations-the construction of interactive mode of Dance Partner.In the fourth chapter,the author analyzes and summarizes the successful experiences and problems of the local government through the case study in maintaining the media relations dealing with medias,and also dig up the causes.Based on the problems and theories mentioned above,the author raised sever solutions from different angles including the management mechanism of media relations,how to take the advantage of media relations to improve governmental affairs,the specific paths and strategies in PR field to interact with the media positively.
