The Choice Of Endowment And Its Belief

In the context of aging society,the pension problem has become increasingly prominent.The diversification of the endowment way provides more possibilities for the elderly.The acceptance of the institutional pension has been gradually increased.More and more elderly choose institutional pension.This thesis is on the case study of Buddhist nursing home and Christian nursing home in Shanghai.Through in-depth interviews,we are attention to the process of elderly choose endowment way,to explore which factors are considered by the elderly in this selection process.The concept of death is contained in spiritual comfort.And it is related to religious beliefs.In this thesis,we focus on the concept factors in the choice of endowment way,especially the religious beliefs.The results show that in the religious institutions,non-religious old people who are from the family pension to the institutional pension,is out of the responsibility of ethics.That means the elderly's responsibilities and obligations to children,and they want to reduce the burden on children.For the religious old people,they choose to stay in the religious pension institutions mainly because they can meet their religious needs,which is out of conviction ethics.However,when these elderly people make their choices of endowment way,they will also consider about the responsibility of ethics and often responsibility ethics precedes conviction ethics.But sometimes,they can balance the responsibility ethics and conviction ethics.
