Central Asia region is very important for China and Russia. It is worth to note the geopolitical interest of other regional and global powers such as USA,Iran and India in the region. All countries of the region, including Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are interested in the development of relations with all the powers in the region, especially with Russia-main geopolitical player and China-main economic driver. In my thesis I analyze Foreign Policy of Russia in the region and Sino-Russian political relation in Central Asia, particularly in case of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.I will use some works written by Randall Schweller, like “Bandwagoning for profit: Bringing Revisionist State Back in” International securiry19:1(summer 1994)and “Rising Powers and Revisionism in Emerging international order”(2015).The current works examine cases of states, who have not balanced as rising states, even where have been expected to balance. The main research question is “Why has Russia not taken any substantial steps to balance against China's increasingly dominant influence in Central Asia, particularly in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan?”According to the main question the main hypothesis is that “Russia has not taken any substantial steps to balance against China's increasingly dominant influence in Central Asia(Tajikistan and Kazakhstan),because Russia has perceived China as only being substantially interested in economic engagement with both countries(rather than geopolitical or security engagement),and because Russia has perceived China as not wanting to bring about any political change within Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.”Also include here methods, sources, time frame(2004-2016),mention puzzleContribution: The scientific novelty of the research is analysing the developmental trends of Russia's foreign policy strategy In Central Asian region within Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. The thesis consists of three chapters mentioned above, conclusion, and list of literature. The structure of the thesis is subordinated to the objectives and goal of the study. The first chapter includes the Introduction and brief history of Russian-Tajik,Russian Kazakh and Sino-Tajik,Sino-Kazakh relations.Chapter two deals with the general developments since 1992 include Russia and China's activities in Tajikistan and Kazakhstan as case studies, statistics, and development changes.Chapter 3 includes the basic directions of foreign policy of Russia and her political relations with China in the Central Asian region, particularly in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.Chapter 4 is a Conclusion of the thesis.
