Kazakhstan’s Participation In Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Motives, Methods And Perspectives For Development

Since the end of the Cold War, the international political and economic situation hasundergone significant changes. Eurasia, because of its unique geographical conditions，rose itsposition and role on the international stage, at the same time has complicated political,economic and security situation in the region. In this context, the Shanghai CooperationOrganization (the SCO) has emerged. The SCO has results in maintaining regional peace andstability and promoting regional economic cooperation and development. Kazakhstan，beingthe vast country of Central Asia, has a decisive influence in this region.This article focuses on the investigation of motivation, future prospects of the Republicof Kazakhstan in a context of activity of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the courseof maintaining political security and sustainable development in the countries of the CentralAsian region.
