On The Leading Role Of Village Sages In Cultivating Rural Civilization In The Period Of Transition

In 2017,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed the NO.1 Document,pointing out that it is necessary to construct rural civilization,fitting the core values of Socialism and the construction of the new socialistic countryside.Rural civilization can bring together people,awaken goodness and regulate behavior;besides,it can provide ideological foundation,spiritual power and intellectual support for the comprehensive development of rural society.However,the current social development of rural areas in China is in a critical period of transition,with the lack of talents,the remains of outdated conventions and the unfamiliarity with laws,all of which influence the construction of rural civilization and impede the formation of good social conventions.Meanwhile,as the exemplars of rural civilization,village sages play exemplary roles in bringing together and leading people.Therefore,under the background of the transition period,it is important and practical to study upon village sages' exemplary roles in constructing rural civilization and the ways of constructing rural civilization.Fujian Province is full of historical,environmental and political resources,with a sea of Chinese village sages in foreign countries;besides,under the background of the transition period,there are still problems in constructing rural civilization in Fujian Province,including the swaying social values among farmers,the remains of outdated conventions and farmers' misbehavior,which hinder the construction of rural civilization.Hence,this thesis elaborates on the leading and exemplary function of village sages under the background of the transition period in Fujian Province.This thesis analyzes the issue from seven aspects through combining of literature study with investigation,in the light of the theories of Marxism ontology,the new rural culture construction of the Communist Party of China and the core values of Socialism.The first part is introduction.The second part mainly sketches on the relevant information about village sages and rural civilization;in addition,the theoretical basis is introduced in these part.The third part mainly elaborates the new requirements of village sages' exemplary roles of constructing rural civilization in the transition period.The fourth part analyzes the favorable conditions,existing problems and constraints in the construction of rural custom civilization,based on the status quo of the construction of rural civilization in Fujian Province.The fifth part mainly excavates the historical experience of village sages' exemplary roles in constructing rural civilization with the elaboration of a successful experience in Shangyu City,Zhejiang Province.The sixth part puts forward some countermeasures to village sages' exemplary roles of constructing rural civilization in the transition period.The seventh part summarizes this thesis.
