As the basic elements of the society,the communities are the important foundation of city operation and development.Community construction is the main practice of building a moderately prosperous society in China,and has important practical significance in promoting the harmony,stablity and orderly development of a well-off society.As the main content of learning city and learning society,learning community is such a new pattern promoting the innovative construction and realizing a sustainable development.Since the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC)proposing to build a learning-oriented society with all-round learning and lifelong learning,various provinces and municipalities in China based on communities provide fluent power for the formation of learning society by building learning community.As the main way of social work,Group work can not only meet the needs of community residents through professional skills and methods,but also can provide a good basis for promoting the development of learning community.In this paper,regarding S community as the research object,comprehensively the author considers the methodologies of learning community,learning society and Peter Senge learning organization theory,using the way of literature,interviewing and observation to analysis the involvement of group work in the construction of learning community on the basis of the research results of scholars from home and abroad.In this paper,firstly,the author explored those objectives including the basic situation of the S community in Beijing,the present situation of the construction of learning community,the specific operation,the problems and the causes of the problems.After that,citing the group work of English-learning,the author further researches the achievement we have gained so far,the problems occurring in our present situation and also explores how the group work is used and implemented in the practice of construction.The results show that the group work has a prominent effect in the construction of community learning.Community residents enhance their interest in learning through the group work and participate in the construction of learning community more actively,contributing to the improvement of the whole life's education system.However,there are also somethings which need to be considered.First of all,the group work needs to be people-oriented and improves its own quality;furthermore,to a large extent,the improvement of group work is normally limited by the authorities from community management and community schools.In the following construction of learning community,we should pay more attention to these aspects:the group work need to strengthen follow-up services for residents,stimulating learning motivation and promoting the establishment of a common vision;the standardization of group work needs to be strengthened at the same time;the management and social workers of learning communities should enrich their own experience and improve the efficiency of management to provide a splendid prospective for group work's development.
