Study On Group Work Intervention In Social Relation Exclusion Of Adolescents In Community Correction

With the progress of society,human beings pay more and more attention to the protection of human rights and the penalty system is also more humanized.The community correction system emerges as the times require.There are many problems in the process of localization of the community correction system originating from the West,including the social exclusion of the object of community correction.This paper is a study on reducing social exclusion of adolescents in community correction.Through in-depth interviews with adolescents,their families,teachers and social workers in judicial institutes,it is found that adolescents in community correction are mainly excluded by their families,classmates and neighborhoods on social relations.Therefore,the method of group work was used to intervene in the clients and their surroundings.Firstly,an intervention in adolescents in community correction was made to promote their awakening and reflection in psychological,behavioral and cognitive aspects.Secondly,the intervention in people around those adolescents,mainly including guardians,teachers,classmates,was made to help them know the relevant community correction better,understand adolescents in community correction comprehensively and to ease the relationship between them and the adolescents.Finally,the intervention effect was evaluated by using social exclusion scale,satisfaction scale,self-assessment and other important people's assessment.This study finds out that the social exclusion encountered by adolescents in community correction is intrinsically related,not independent of each other.The factors leading to social exclusion and their results are also interrelated and intertwined.Group work has certain advantages in alleviating the social relations exclusion of adolescents in community correction.However,to completely eliminate the social relations exclusion of adolescents in community correction is a complex systematic project,which requires coordinated efforts from all sectors of society.
