Research On The Value Increment And Maintenance Of Charity Foundations In China

Since the reform and opening up,philanthropy in China has entered an era of vigorous development.Charitable organizations have gradually become an important force in social governance.As a charitable organization that accepts donations,foundations plays an important role by the increment and maintenance of the value of funds,and engaging in public welfare.This paper first reviewed the development of charity foundations in China,then analyzed the problems of their development from aspects such as legal environment,market conditions,regulatory system and social cognition.On this basis,the paper probes into the solutions of fund value increment and maintenance of charity foundations in China.The paper also analyzed purpose and significance of fund value increment and maintenance,its status quo,pathway,etc.The paper pointed out problems of charity foundations in China such as narrow range,weak,poor effect,lack of standardized selection and so on.Against such background,the paper proposed the two dimensions(i.e.methods and carriers)of charity foundation development in China to maintain and increase the fund value.For further study,this paper selected Guangdong Provincial Youth Development Foundation for case study.Relevant financial data from 2010 to 2015 have been studied from perspectives of path way of fund value maintenance and increment.With this case analysis,the paper put forward suggestions on pathways of fund value maintenance and increment for charity foundations in China.Finally,six suggestions were proposed for fund value maintenance and increment of charity foundations in China: First,fully understand the significance of fund value maintenance and increment,encourage and support the foundation to carry out legal activities for fund value increment.Second,constantly improve the legal system of fund value maintenance and increment.Third,actively explore market-oriented mode of operation and the innovation of “charity + finance” fund value increment carrier.Fourth,strengthen the capacity building fund value maintenance and increment to enhance fund operation efficiency.Fifth,establish a sound foundation regulatory system to strictly regulate the fund value maintenance and increment activities.Sixth,enhance the transparency of fund value maintenance and increment,to enhance the public recognition.
