After the United Nations general assembly got through the universal declaration of human rights in 1948, each continents are gradually made the regional human rights documents on the bases of the universal declaration of human rights. Based on different natural conditions, economic and cultural factors, etc. the content and the implementation of the human rights documents in each area are exist great differences, compared with other continents, Asian is backward on regional human rights protection issues. In the human rights problem increasingly become a social focus, compared with the European convention on human rights, the American convention on human rights and the charter of human rights and national rights in Africa, the charter of the Asian human rights although has a certain role in promoting regional human rights consciousness and the development of human rights, but for the development of the Asian regional human rights and the establishment of a regional human rights mechanisms, this charter didn't play a role as expected. The purpose of this paper is to analyzes similarities and differences between the Asian human rights charter and other regional human rights documents to find the advantages and disadvantages of human rights protection in Asia, and on this bases to outlook the future trend of the coorperation of human rights in Asia.This article is divided into preface, text and epilogue three parts.Preface part mainly introduces the purpose and significance of topics and the general framework of this paper.Text is divided into four parts. The first part is introduction, introduces the process of drafting and conclude, and the present situation of cooperation in the field of human rights in Asia countries; The second part is the focus of this article, through discussing the different attitudes for the universality and particularity, different rules of individual rights and collective human rights, the different setting of the organization for human rights and the nature of each regional human rights text to put the Asian human rights charter comparing with other regional human rights document; The third part is on the bases of the second part to state the significance of the Asian human rights charter, even through this charter was formulated by NGOs(non-governmental organization), but is a great driving force for the development of the regional human rights; The fourth part is according to the second part to summarize the limitations of the Asian human rights charter and clearly indicate the contentwhich should attach importance to in the future of human rights protection in Asian; The fifth part put forward how to better improve and implement the charter for advice on the bases of clear understanding of the charter of the Asian human rights and put forward how Asia countries to cooperate under the guidance of the Asian human rights charter so as to achieve the purpose of promoting Asian regional human rights progress, which emphasizes the importance of starting from the actual situation of the region to promote the development of human rights.
