The Effects Of Urban Community Management On The Residents' Wellbeing And The Mediation Mechanism

As the basic unit of urban society, urban community plays an important role in the daily life of residents. Urban community management, as the important part of urban social management, is directly related to the residents' basic necessities of life, and also is one of the key factors influencing the residents' well-being. This study, based on the hierarchy of needs theory, citizen governance theory and social support theory, via psychological safety, community participation, community attachment and social support, put forward and test the positive model and the mediation mechanism model of community management on residents' well-being, and built a theoretical model. Surveying 550 community residents from different cities,the effective samples were analyzed by SPSS19.0 and AMOS21.0, this study reach the following conclusions:(1) urban community management affects the residents' happiness positively;(2) urban community management predicts psychological safety positively, residents' psychological safety positively affect their well-being, and psychological safety mediates the relation between community management and the residents' happiness;(3) urban community management predicts community attachment positively, residents' community attachment positively affect their well-being, and community attachment mediates the relation between community management and the residents' happiness;(4) urban community management predicts community participation positively, residents' community participation positively affect their well-being, and community participation mediates the relation between community management and the residents' happiness;(5) urban community management predicts social support positively, residents' social support positively affect their well-being, and social support mediates the relation between community management and the residents' happiness. Finally, the paper puts forward the limitations of this study and future research direction, and gives suggestions to the practical community management combined with the conclusions.
