Study On The Participation Of Xianzhou Community Governance Residents In Xinhui,Jiangmen City

Governance theory emphasizes the diversification and cooperation of governancesubjects.The theory of public management advocates that the government shouldchange its functions and establish a service-oriented and sunshine oriented government.Both become the theoretical basis of community governance research.With the in-depthstudy of governance theory and public management theory,community governance inChina has entered a new stage,and constantly explore the breakthrough of governanceconcept and the innovation of governance model.Therefore,residents' participation incommunity governance is the only way and global trend for the community to go to goodgovernance.How to further improve the residents' participation in urban communitygovernance is a topic that needs in-depth discussion and research.Based on these,this paper adopts the methods of literature,case analysis,questionnaire and interview,taking Xianzhou community in Xinhui District of JiangmenCity as a typical case,to investigate the current situation of community residents' participation in governance,find out the existing problems,analyze the causes of theproblems,and formulate solutions to the problems,so as to mobilize the enthusiasm ofcommunity residents to participate in governance.In this paper,questionnaire survey and interview are used to investigate thecurrent situation of residents' participation in the process of community governance inXianzhou,Xinhui District,Jiangmen City.It is found that residents' participation canimprove residents' awareness of political participation to a certain extent,inject freshblood into the economic development of the community,and improve the communityenvironment.However,the following problems still exist: lack of participationawareness,lack of participation channels,and low participation.The reasons for theabove problems include the influence of local economic development and productionsystem.The internal reasons are mainly the lack of residents' ability to participate,thelow level of residents' recognition of the community and the existence of generalshort-sighted behavior.The external reasons are mainly the narrow channels ofcommunity governance participation,the heavy work and insufficient capacity of thecommunity and the weak atmosphere of community governance participation.Finally,from the aspects of reforming the way of community residents' participation ingovernance,improving the awareness of community residents' participation ingovernance,optimizing the environment of community governance participation and so on,the paper puts forward that the optimization of Jiangmen is the countermeasure ofcommunity residents' participation in Xianzhou,Xinhui District.In order to establish amulti role and diversified cooperation mode and form a joint force,so as to improve thelevel of residents' participation in urban community governance.It is of great practicalsignificance for Xianzhou community in Xinhui District of Jiangmen City to solve thedifficulties of grass-roots public management and to explore the communitydevelopment mode in line with the situation of Jiangmen City.
