| As the EU members go farer and farer on the way to economic and political integration,UK held the second EU referendum in 2016 and the result was Brexit. This article mainly studies why the Cameron government failed the EU Referendum. This paper uses the method of literature research,Marx’s dialectical materialism and historical materialism to sort out the process of the promotion of EU referendum by the Cameron government, from the negative attitude to positive attitude, and examines and analyzes the factors in promotion of EU Referendum during Cameron government from the political, economic, social stability, diplomacy and other factors. In the second part of the text, the author tries to specify the failure of the Cameron government’s " EU Referendum" from three aspects: political party, government and social factors, and analyzes that the domestic policy formulated by the Cameron government is contrary to the interests of the people to a large extent, leading Cameron government not meeting the political expectations.Starting with the last chapter of this article, the author dissects the actual impact and the prospects of UK leaving EU.After David Cameron resignation,PM Teresa May formed her government. The result of the EU referendum will not only bring impacts on British and economy politics but also affect the international political trends. The UK has officially begun the Brexit process on March 29,2017 but EU refused to begin trade talks before Britain agrees to pay a Brexit “divorce bill”.From a rational point of view, the relationship between Britain and the EU would be affected by UK triggering Article 50 in the next period of time.In the long run, both sides will take a "win-win" cooperation policy. After all, interest is eternal.Once UK leaving EU,there will be a profound impact on international politics. |
