How to rescue the homeless beggars has always been a general concern of governments. In recent years, the number of beggars in our city has been increasing and generated many new problems. The emergency of these problems not only affects the appearance of this city, but also has a negative impact on the social order. And it is not conducive to the construction of a harmonious society. Therefore, how to solve the problem of vagrant beggars is imminent, which is not only the need to protect the legitimate rights and interests of beggars, but also the need to build socialist harmonious society.Based on the social support network, this paper studies the social support network of the homeless beggars in Xi'an by using the observation method, the interview method and the literature analysis method, and examines the basic situation study and support content of the formal social support network and the informal social support for the rescue of homeless beggars.Through the analysis of the results of this survey, the existing problems of the current social support network of vagrant beggars are summed up.The formal social support has many problems, such as a single assistant subject, low level of assistance, the lack of follow up rescue management system, the lack of rescue management funding sources. There are still many problems in formal social support, such as the moral decay of the vagrant family members, the weak of the civic donation awareness, and the lack of public participation and other issues.Based on the above problems, this study puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the social support network of the vagrant beggars in Xi'an,so as to return the vagrant beggars to the normal social life through the use of the formal social support network and the informal social support network.
