A Sociological Study About The Elderly In Rural Areas Escaping From Retirement Home

Escape from the nursing home mainly for rural elderly people in nursing homes due to various does not adapt and through a variety of ways to leave the nursing home return home pension extreme behavior.Rural elderly living alone at home unattended,and retirement homes have many similar background of the elderly,24 hours of retirement care,the elderly after entering the retirement home should get more high quality of life.However,the fact is not the case.Rural elderly people’s willingness to care for the elderly has always been low,and even have had such an extreme resistance to escape from the retirement home.So,this part of the elderly in rural areas,what is the reason why choose to leave the retirement home?What is the life of the rural elderly in the pension institution?Do you really want to live better than at home?Based on this consideration,this study selected Yangzhou J District Social Welfare Institute as a research unit,through field research,analysis rural elderly retirement home from return home pension subjective reasons,and from the point of view of modernity and rationality of rural elderly pension will form rational and objective understanding of,and to formulate the relevant policies of the relevant government departments to provide a reference.The research shows:(1)J District Welfare Institute to take the collective management of boarding.First,the occupancy of each older infrastructure is exactly the same;secondly,the lifestyle of the elderly stay also follow certain rules to adapt to the collective life.Finally,due to the closed management and recreation for the elderly stay single,many old people’s daily life is boring and tedious.In such a collective living environment,the elderly in the welfare home in the way of life,interpersonal relationships and psychological adjustment,there is no adaptation.On this basis,some elderly people choose to escape from the retirement home.(2)Through the typical case analysis found that elderly people in rural areas are due to age,body and living problems,passively into retirement homes,and the choice of escape from the retirement home reasons mainly include the following several aspects:first,the way of life does not adapt.The elderly in the retirement home life needs to change their lifestyle,while losing many recreational activities,so that the life of the retirement home is very not free.Second,the interpersonal relationship does not adapt.Old people into the retirement home because of the surrounding interpersonal relationship is very strange,so that their sense of security is very low,so as to produce a sense of distrust around the environment.Third,the strange environment does not adapt.Rural elderly into the retirement home,the relatives of the original contact was cut off,to reduce their children to visit,so that it produces a sense of loneliness in a strange environment,so as to miss the familiar living environment.(3)The characteristics of the modern age and the traditional characteristics of the old people in the rural areas are contradictory and conflict.Escape from the retirement home is essentially a moden way to support the elderly.First of all,the study found that pension institutions as an organization to provide pension services,in order to improve the efficiency of its services,from various aspects have formed a specific process and standards.At the same time,pension institutions just demand of the elderly in later life to live self,live personality,the fundamental goal of the service is to ensure that the elderly in late can peacefully until you leave the world.Therefore,the pension institutions in the elderly is build into a standardized product,no flaws,no error,no accident,at the same time,there is no color and fun personalized.And in rural society of traditional personalized opposite;secondly,pension institutions will be through the establishment of standard system and the articles of association,from the three aspects of space,time,and body for the elderly to effectively manage,thus maintaining mechanism of effective operation.This with the rural old people in rural society free life was full of contradictions.Finally,the elderly elderly in rural areas in pension agency,living in retirement homes constructed in the modem environment,their original social roles changed,become the structure of old-age care institutions in a small part,the social role and social trust are changed.Finally,the author makes reflections on the development of rural endowment insurance.Some rural elderly have an attitude of rejection and resistance to retirement home,or even escape from retirement home situation.In this regard,I think that may be the development of faiily pension based,pension institutions to complement,community home care as the core of the diversified rural old-age service system,this part of the body will very low.At the same time and lives alone the rural elderly care services.
