The Research Of Non-profit Organizations Involved In Home Care Of Aging People

With the increasingly intensified aging of population, pension issues in the traditional pension system and pension model becomes increasingly inconsistent. Traditional family old-age care becomes unsustainable due to demographic structure changes and shrunken family size, while nursing institution for the aged is limited to large-scale promotion owing to finite resources and higher costs. In this case, home care which can not only fully utilize community resources but also cost appropriately will become the main way for old-age care in China.For the home-care services relate to all aspects, if it is borne entirely by government, it will cause the waste of resources and reduction of efficiency. While home care provided by a wide range of social subjects is able to meet the different needs of the elder. So the only way to develop home care services is to encourage non-profit organizations to participate in the future. With the rapid development of China’s nonprofit organizations, the fields they revolve are more extensive. The role played by non-profit organizations in the political, economic, cultural and social management fields are more important. Nonprofit organizations has unique advantages in participating in old-age security, so the government should be active to promote non-profit organizations to take part in the old-age care in all aspects.This paper describes the current situation and trends of China’s aging population as well as the limitation of family pension and institution pension. It concludes that the home care is a new path of pension which is suitable for China. The paper also describes the current development stage and problems of services for the aged. Then it describes the concepts of home care and nonprofit organizations, it also fix the relation of nonprofit organizations and home care. Besides if discusses the feasibility and advantages of non-profit organizations involved in home-based care and so on. At the same time, the paper analyzes its operational mechanism, on the basis, it puts out the bottleneck problem and deep-seated problems and it also puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions.
