National Day Parade From The Perspective Of Ritual Communication(1949-2009)

This paper draws lessons from ritual communication's research ideas,analyzes national day parade's ritual characters and its realistic meaning.With the help of many symbols in the ritual activity,to understand the meaning and the value of national day parade in the background of globalization.The national day parade as a ritual phenomenon,has ritual characters and special meaning.Firstly,October 1st as a ritual time,has never change go through 14 parades,symbols creation of modern social order.Secondly,Tian'anmen square as a ritual space,is the center of the people's power,shows the new feature of nation.Thirdly,the representatives of the leader,the soldier and the people as a ritual community,are the symbol of power,army and the people.It shows social structure in China.Fourthly,linguistic notations and non-linguistic notations as a ritual symbol,are different ways to show ritual meaning.Meanwhile,it describes social development in China.Finally,leadership in place,the announcement ceremony is about to begin,hoist the flag,play the national anthem,release command parade,parading,mass demonstrations as a ritual procedure,strengthen collective memory.The national day parade as a communicate phenomenon,strengthen the conscious of national community from countrymen.It conduces to share the meaning,strengthen value and uniting;build the authority and image of the state.It contributes to communicate cultural value,enhance the influence.
