A Study Of Marxist Concept Of Equality And Its Value On Contemporary China

Since human beings walked into the class society,equality has been the permanent pursuit for them.To some extent,the history of civilization in the whole human society is the history of knowing,pursuing and realizing equality gradually.Throughout the history,public opinions about equality varies.Marx first put his concept of equality on the basis of science,discarding,developing and transcending every concept of equality in the past.Founded on dialectics and historical materialism,Marxist concept of equality explains scientifically the history development of equality from the angle of history and class.In Marx's view,equality is a specific and historical category,and it is restricted by the level of development of productive forces.Criticizing deeply bourgeois concept of equality,Marx expresses the requirements of proletarian concept of equality accurately and comprehensively,and points out that the equality is to eliminate classes.He combines the equality with proletarian movements,and argues that building a community of free individuals is a realistic path towards equality,and that only when entering into the communist society and fulfilling the free and all-round development can human beings realize the real equality,Marxist concept of equality,unifying practicality,dialecticism and class nature,is of great guiding significance for proletarian liberation movement,and of important theoretical and practical value for contemporary China to practice socialist equality.This thesis,except for introduction,consists of the following three chapters.Chapter one mainly discusses theoretical sources and philosophical foundation of Marxist concept of equality.On the one hand,tracing and carding the sources of Marxist concept of equality,the author holds that Marx forms his concept of equality through criticizing and inheriting modern bourgeois concept of equality and utopian socialism thought of equality.On the other hand,this chapter explores the philosophical foundation of Marxist concept of equality.The author holds that it is on the foundation of dialectics and historical materialism that Marx makes the historic change and transcendence towards previous philosophers' thought of equality.Chapter two discusses the main contents and essential characteristics of Marxist concept of equality,which is the theoretical support and foundation of the whole thesis.First,this chapter expounds the main contents.Marx's understanding of the category of equality,and the basic requirements,ways and processes of realization of proletarian concept of equality are included.Second,this chapter discusses the essential characteristics---practicality,dialecticism and class nature.These characteristics enables Marxist theory to transcend previous ones,and make it become a scientific one and enjoy the possibility to come true.Chapter three expounds the significance of Marxist concept of equality for contemporary China.This chapter analyzes how to apply Marxist concept to explain the inequality phenomena in current China dialectically,and how to apply it to guide the promotion of socialist equality.This chapter is a summary and sublimation of the thesis.
