The construction of spiritual civilization in rural areas is an important component of the construction of socialist spiritual civilization and the most important strategic tasks of the the Communist Party,which also plays an important role of building a new socialist countryside.Guangdong had high economic development in last decade,but there is still a large gap between urban and rural areas,spiritual civilization construction involves a wide range of aspects but great difficulty.Compared with other economically developed provinces,the rural spiritual civilization construction in Guangdong has become increasingly backward.At the same time,a variety of modern ideas spread into the vast rural areas,in the Guangdong Province,the process of building a new socialist countryside to speed up the continuous development of rural productivity,farmers continue to improve the material life of the spiritual and spiritual civilization needs higher requirement.The peasants' consciousness of democracy and legal system is weak,the peasants' legal rights and interests are violated,the peasants' ideals and beliefs and values are biased in different degrees and so on.These new situations and new problems are urgently need to be settled and moral quality of the peasants and the level of scientific knowledge are need to be improved.The grim situation and urgent tasks require us to place a more prominent position in strengthening rural spiritual civilization construction in Guangdong Province.This article first combs the rural spiritual civilization construction connotation and practical significance.And then explores the problems in the construction of spiritual civilization in rural areas in Guangdong.These problems are mainly reflected in the following aspects: the poor quality of the peasants,the backward cultural construction,the "hollowing out" of the rural areas,the social atmosphere and the environment.Then the causes of the problems are discussed: the negative impact of the market economy,the lack of capital investment,the lack of attention,the lack of cultural positions,the effective mechanism is not perfect.Finally,we find out the measures of the construction of spiritual civilization in rural areas,such as rural economic construction,villagers' quality cultivation,rural wind construction,cultural construction,environmental renovation and perfect mechanism.
