Research On National Identity In Modern China Under The Vision Of Globalization

Globalization is the objective process and development trend of the contemporary world,which is not based on human will.It is the greatest reality that all countries in the world face together.In the era of globalization,developing countries are confronted with not only the problems of economic and social development,but also the problems of "soft power" reconstruction and upgrading,including national identity.For China,the largest developing country,to consolidate and enhance national identity,strengthen national cohesion and achieve social integration is not only the spiritual foundation of social stability and economic and social development,but also related to the economic and social development and modernization requirements.National identity is an important national consciousness.Only having and confirming their national identities,people can understand their close relationships with the country,will belong to the state,will be concerned about national interests and consciously take the responsibility for the development of the country.Based on present situation identified by contemporary China in the view of globalization,as well as the relevant literature and information,this paper analyzes and discusses the present situation,existing problems and reasons,and puts forward several effective ways to consolidate and improve the national identity of our citizens.The paper is divided into four parts:The first part mainly expounds the background,purpose and significance of national identity researches,research status at home and abroad,and the thinking and innovation of this paper.The second part introduces the definition of the concept of identity and national identity,analyzing the nature of national identity and the relationship between national identity and political identity,cultural identity,ethnic identity,and summarizing the function and performance of national identity.The third part summarizes the status of contemporary Chinese national identity,analyzes the problems and main reasons of the citizens' national identity,and provides a constructive basis for the consolidation and promotion of the citizens' national identity.The last but best part,analyzes how to consolidate and improve the national identity of our country from the aspects of economy,politics,culture and education.
