A Study On The Handling And Guiding Public Opinion In Police Affairs In The New Period

Currently,C hina is undergoing an economic and social reform.As the reform is getting deeper,the conflicts among different social groups and parties are getting more and more intense in special regions and time periods,mostly due to the change of their interests.The public security officials are always upfront to face these social conflicts to fulfill their roles,which draws particularly high attention of the media.As the fast development of new media and social media,the public opinion on public security officials in terms of how do they execute the law inevitably influence the law enforcement,and the trend is getting more and more apparent.Under this new situation,it is more and more critical for public security personnel to take multiple measurements to handle these public opinion.Therefore,to study public options,to study how to handle these opinion,and how to guide public opinion are very important for the social stabilization and legitimately executing the law.This article contains five chapters.The first chapter is about research background,methodology,and innovation points;C hapter two is talking about the concept of public opinions,what the public options consist of,and the scientific theory for the study.It also summarizes the prior study of public opinion in China and outside China,which directs the study of the latter chapters.Chapter three is about the reason for the origin of public opinion,summarizes their characteristics,the pros and cons on their influence to law enforcement,as well as the issues arising from the public security officials when they are dealing with the public opinion;Chapter four is about the examples and experiences on how law enforcement is dealing with public opinion nationally and internationally,which could be a good reference for further study.Chapter five is some suggestions and proposals on how public security personnel should deal with public opinion,and how to build a systematic and scientific way to handle public opinion in the future.Through the research of this paper,it provides a new perspective for the construction of public opinion handling and guiding work system in the new period,properly handling and guiding public opinion in police affairs.
