A Study Of Alleviating Urban Traffic Congestion In Xi'an City Based On Intelligent Transportation System

With Xi'an being positioned as a mega-sized city in the western region,rapid social and economic development,accelerating urban construction and rapid urban population growth,the application of the traditional governance model has made it difficult to improve the increasingly urban traffic congestion.In recent years,Xi'an has embarked on the construction of intelligent traffic and built an intelligent traffic application platform,whose purpose is to get out of a new road in solving the problem of urban traffic congestion.At present,due to the imperfect road network structure,excessive traffic flow,serious construction occupying roads,insufficient traffic order management capacity and disrupted traffic structure,the serious traffic congestion problem has emerged in Xi'an.The heavily congested area has accounted for 5% of the planned area,the conflicts among people,vehicles,roads and the environment are intertwinedand superimposed on each other,traffic congestion is still facing the grim situation.Although the relevant departments in Xi'an have been working together to take measures from four aspects of integrated traffic monitoring,command and dispatch,service management and overall regulation and control.Try to control the traffic congestion in Xi'an City by balancing the road network supply and demand contradiction,reducing the impact of road construction,improving the contradiction between supply and demand of parking and reducing traffic flow concentration,Strengthen the formulation of policies and regulations.At the same time,a series of policies and systems have been promulgated to ensure smooth traffic congestion.Through these efforts,traffic congestion in Xi'an has been somewhat controlled,but it is not obvious.Based on the research and analysis of these traffic congestion control measures taken in Xi'an,we can find that,there are several key issues of traffic congestion management in Xi'an,such as low level of informationization in management,imperfect traffic management mechanism,uncoordinated traffic planning and urban planning,and low enforcement level of intelligent traffic.Through the above analysis can be drawn,traffic congestion management in Xi'an requires the introduction of intelligent traffic,starting from four aspects: promoting the application of intelligent traffic congestion management technology,building an intelligent traffic information platform,improving the intelligent traffic management mechanism,and establishing coordinated intelligent traffic service coordination system.
