Suggestions For The Improvement Of Climate Diplomacy In China

In recent years,with the intensification of global warming and the increase of extreme climatic events,environmental protection and climate change have become the hot issues of international society,and climate diplomacy has become an important issue in the international negotiation arena.The aim of this paper is to analyze the predicament of China's current climate diplomacy and put forward policy suggestions.Based on the classical theory of international relations-national interest theory,this paper this paper probes into the relationship between national interests and international interests in China's climate diplomacy,and then combs the historical development and current situation of climate diplomacy,a series of actions taken by China to participate in climate diplomacy and the predicament and challenge facing China's climate diplomacy.Through the horizontal contrast analysis and longitudinal historical analysis,combined with the World Climate conference and the successful cases in climate diplomacy,the paper sums up the promotion space of China's climate diplomacy.The first innovation of this paper is to introduce the discourse power analysis in diplomacy,and emphatically discuss how China should construct climate diplomatic discourse,improve its policy efficiency,so as to create relatively favorable international public opinion and safeguard the national interests.The second innovation is to analyze the national interests in China's climate diplomacy and how to balance the relationship between domestic economy and the international image in the light of the theoretical framework of national interests.The main research methods used in this thesis are literature analysis and comparative analysis.After reading a lot of papers and thesis on climate diplomacy,professional books on the basis of the formation of a preliminary understanding of China's climate diplomacy,comparing horizontally climate policies between China and developed countries,this thesis put forward some suggestions for China's climate diplomacy.
