This article studies the origin, evolution, and challenges of the European refugee crisis from the perspective of human rights and sovereignty. The first part elaborate the origin of the European refugee crisis from the perspective of sovereignty. The source countries of this European refugee crisis are mainly the governance crisis in Syria,Iraq and other countries and the turbulence and war caused by them.At the same time,as the United States and some European countries interfered in the sovereignty of the Middle East and North Africa, the conflicts and turmoil within the countries concerned have intensified, and traditional strongman political authority has been reduced or even collapsed. However,in these countries, democratic regimes have not been established.Instead, they are armed separatists and even large-scale civil wars. They are either for the sake of a failed state or on the verge of a failed country. In addition, the rise of Islamic State terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq has further aggravated the governance and humanitarian crises of the two countries. With the political turmoil and constant fighting, the people's life safety is not guaranteed, and they have become refugees who have fled.In order to escape the turmoil of the war and the "good life" of the West,a large number of refugees have used the convenience of the region to flock to Europe through the Mediterranean route and the Balkan route, forming the 2015 European refugee crisis. The refugee crisis not only originated from the humanitarian crisis but also began to impact sovereignty issues. This article selects two countries,Germany and the United Kingdom,as examples.Through Germany ' s evolution from cautiousness to the welcoming of refugees to the tightening of refugee policies and the British's attitude of indifference and refusal to refugees, the issue of refugees has also become a non-negligible factor for Brexit in the United Kingdom. It can be seen that refugees' problems make European countries hopeful. The contradictions of the human rights of refugees are protected and they are more concerned with their own sovereignty. The refugee crisis has brought European countries the dual challenges of sovereignty and human rights. The first is the rise of populism in Europe. It is manifested by the right-deviation of European society and right-wing populist parties that have achieved unprecedented success in Europe. It has exerted a great influence on the political ecology and core values of European countries.Second is the zero-sum game between the United States,Russia,Iran,Turkey, and other countries in the Syrian civil war and the intervention of the Syrian Arab League with the Islamic state, and the Syrian sovereignty crisis has been exacerbated by the agents' struggles involving the destruction of the Islamic State. In addition,in recent years,Europe has been frequently subjected to terrorist attacks and faced with the dual challenges of protecting the security of sovereignty and protecting the human rights of refugees.Based on the exclusion of sovereignty, the issue of terrorists in refugees has led Europe to adopt practices that place greater emphasis on border protection, collective deportation of refugees, and restrictive asylum policies. The article concludes by pointing out that the essence of the European concept of human rights and sovereignty is centered on national interests. And explored the way out of the European refugee crisis.studies the origin, evolution, and challenges of the European refugee crisis from the perspective of human rights and sovereignty is centered on national interests. And explored the way out of the European refugee crisis.
