The homework is the essential issue during the study and crucial extension of senior school classes. It promise to be an effective means for the reinforcement of learning when been designed rationally and been finished elaborately. As such, the effectiveness of homework has been proposed. Through theoretical analysis and practical research we suppose to polish the concept of proposition, enhance the multidimensional principle and promote the application significance of this topic. Feasibility strategies are put forward based on the problems and then they will be used in teaching process to take the practical tests. Furthermore, we proposed the strategies to improve the effectiveness of chemistry homework in senior school through summation and introspection. Our endeavors are skillful to be applied in the designing; arrangements; feedbacks and evaluation process of homework and also directed towards training students of their capabilities in learning, thinking and problem-solving abilities.In chapter one, we introduced the intention of the article and the current state of such research ranging from internal to international. We made the research plan and identified the methodology, determined the research significance and the desired goals through research of available literatures.In chapter two, we illustrated the concepts of homework effectiveness especially Constructivism theory, Cognitive load theory, Multiple intelligence theory and Zone of proximal development. Those concepts are the foundation of the paper which assist us to understand the status of the senior students' psychological development.In chapter three, we employed practical investigation to continue our research. A questionnaire was put into the essay with the data. Moreover, we summarized the problems of high school chemistry homework. It is mainly manifested in the following six aspects:a rather high cognitive load, too simplified homework gradation, single homework type, fixed correcting methods, lack of tracking feedback, rigid evaluation form.In chapter four, we further applied the concept of homework effectiveness theory to practical experience. By analyzing the factors that influence the effectiveness of high school chemistry homework, we proposed corresponding practical solutions towards the problems which we mentioned in the chapter three. We tried to improve chemistry homework from the six views above within three months practice. We used statistical tools to analyze the students' academic performance to inspect the value of our methods. Moreover, we evaluated the attitudes of students of the practices through questionnaires.In chapter five, we moved forward to the further excavation of the effectiveness of homework theory which has been applied in the chapter four. We proposed strategies dealing with cognitive load, the level, type, evaluation of homework, feedback and correction.In chapter six, summaries and conclusions have been made to polish up the thesis. We list the innovation points in this paper and made our prospects in this field, we also discuss and rethink of the drawbacks in the paper.In the long-term route of improving effectiveness of chemistry homework in high school, we are far from the ideal destination. We suppose to achieve what we want only when we gazing from both views of teachers and students. And this is the way which we can survive and move forward in the dilemma of educational reform.
