The integrity of life is the theory point and the practice pursuit of educational practice, the teacher possessing holistic consciousness in teaching is an important approach to realize this pursuit. With the deepening of Ecology of Education, the ecological education is getting more and more admission and attention. Holism is the most typical feature of ecological philosophy and systematic thought,exploring the generation of teachers' holistic consciousness, which contributes to abolish the binary opposition and separation that exist in traditional education, and help teacher develop their scientific belief. Besides, it can also expand space for applying holistic consciousness.In order to have a deep understanding of teachers' holistic consciousness, the thesis teases some related theories to demonstrate the holism in teaching. Combined with some educational cases, we want to reveal the separation in actual education, besides, we also try to propose strategies to promote teacher holistic consciousness, so that they can apply it to teaching. we use both literature analysis and cases analysis for the research. We have summed up some research results about holistic consciousness and teaching and summarized the connotation of holistic consciousness then we find problems.According to this research, teachers' holistic consciousness is a relative consciousness that contained systematization, construction and generation. It is a holistic cognition of different elements in teaching. Classroom, curriculum and teaching are key elements in educational activities. They are all holistic and constitute the whole entirety, which call for holistic consciousness. However, in reality, Fragmented knowledge, separated process, unilateral evaluation and split subject and so on, which because of teachers' imperceptive cognition and limited autonomy. So that, separation consciousness replaces holistic consciousness, teaching action deviates education goal and education reform. To improve the circumstance, we think that we should start by changing teachers' teaching concept, paying more attention to continuity in practice, school and society should provide support, building learning community and crating holistic atmosphere.
