Reaserch On 80s-generation Primary Teachers In Chengdu

There are proximately 2 million 80s-generation rushing in the society as important players and builders. Until 2010, 80s-generation will be 30 years old. Some of them have been young teachers and the proportion is also increased every year. Based on this background, this paper is about 80s teachers: 1. The researcher investigated Work Burnout of 80s primary teachers in Chengdu and found out that the standards of Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization and Reduced Personal Accomplishment. 2. Combining with the theories of teacher-burnout and the career-cycle of teachers, the researcher analyzed the characteristics of 80s-generation's teacher burnout. The researcher also compared the 80s-generation's statistics to 60s and 70s. 3. On the basis of psychology the researcher analyzed the relationship between 80s-generation primary teachers'burnout and other factors such as their characteristics, traits and background (macro-environment and micro environment) and so on.This paper consists of four parts. Firstly, the researcher accounted that the post-80 generation had rushed in to our society and been zoomed by al the medium. On the other hand, many teachers are suffering from burnout which has leaded to serious crisis.Then,the researcher summarized some related theories: Teacher Professional Development, Teacher Career Cycle, and Teacher Burnout.And she analyzed 80s-generation as a whole. That is the macro-environment and micro-environment of this era created the personality traits of this generation who are doomed to have moral values, work attitude and working style of their own.Thirdly, the researchers have, through empirical studies, surveyed 80s-generation primary teachers'burnout status. The survey samples include teachers from 11 primary schools in Chengdu City and primary teachers who were studying in Teachers College, Chengdu University. Through spss17.0 the research got the result. Statistics showed that average scores of Emotional Exhaustion and Depersonalization is equal to the middle-level, and the score of Reduced Personal Accomplishment is less than it. This means the 80s generation has Teacher-burnout, but the level is not serious.Finally, after an investigation and analysis, the researcher found the connection between burnout situation and the factors of gender, marital status, educational level. And it is worth to mention that this study found that teacher- burnout of post-80 appears in an earlier period.
