| The aging of the population presents vast societal challenges to ensuring that our infrastructures can support the needs of older people enabling them to live healthy, independent, and productive lives. To meet these challenges, we must rethink our conceptualizations of aging and redefine what it means to be “older.” The cohort of older adults today is very different from previous cohorts of older people, and the next cohort of the elderly, is also likely to be different from today's elderly.the tendency of a person developing a disability or chronic illness increases with age. Many older adults after the pre-adulthood are disabled in one or more aspects of self-care and, in general, the elderly need more health care services and incur higher health care costs than younger people. As we see this trend the elderly population increases and people live longer, more people will require help with aspects of daily living and disease management.Now the question is “How to design to let this growing population live healthier and overall better in their particular aspects?” to answer this question, we needed to know enough about this stage of life and instantly about this generation characteristics which is growing older in the especial manner of Iranian society.Thus there is a clear need for strategies to help healthy older people remain productive and independent and to ensure that those who are frail or disabled receive care and support so that they can live in their communities for as long as possible. Age-related changes in function have vast implications for the design of products, environments, and activities.Although Iranian cultural background studies reveal the collective family orientation, but nowadays according to the social and economical condition,independent life is a privileged matter to both sides(kids and parents),so that individual kids prefer to provide caregiving to their parents instead of getting involved closely to their daily caring. Besides, it is costing substantially to provide caregivers and also the situation of nursing homes in Iran mainly not happening to be satisfying.which indicates the reluctance for being applied in nursing homes by people.But this paper is aimed to consider about well-planed design for the future adults which is already accustomed to the current technology usage.this means that we are able to combine the caregiving requirement and technology usage requirement at this stage in order to provide a better life environment to them.As a matter of Iranian culture,Home definition is very important, and people are always seeking their peace and happiness inside their private spaces, hence, Home concern is an issue at the stage of elderly time, but Generally such an adult,in Iran as a retired person,this leads them feel like been abandoned by the society which eventually end up with their corner staying and psychological problems. Thus it is pretty clear that their social life mattered and this population supposed to keep up being active and also creative as much as possible by providing central organizations in order to let them functionally been on duty or being involved for their leisure time. And that is how I designed the elderly service organization inside a residential community in order to let the elderly people feel their independent Home and at the same time been interconnected with the society directly.and also been monitored by a central organization smartly in terms of caregiving.there is a great need to provide much more open and exclusive spaces in interaction with well conditioned dwellings and some central organizations and services in Iran for elderlies as their welfare right matters. Which led this project for an integration idea about elderlies growing society in order to facilitate their life stream by considering their demands and the technological systemizing plans in a particular defined pattern of Iran cultural background.mainly,this paper contains of the concept of smart dwellings in a smart community in order to ease the elderlies caregiving and also in case of nursing services needing, to get provided. Also my design consists of a community which provides small scale of Iranian society based on Iran regional familiar shaped,according to constant elderlies requirement,which can be spread out in entire city as far as the huge population of this group matters, especially in early future.moreover I focused my design part in a central caring service giving organization as called “institution”, in order to provide the healthcare neighborhood center which is smartly monitoring the health-condition of the residents and besides, it intended to collect the individuals together to be involved by the means of cultural, social, sport,and other activities and events. which is aimed to provide an utter social life according to the Iranian cultural habits and inspirations, which leaded me to maintain the main ideas of regional and iconic architecture of Iran background. |
