Homework as a bridge to connect teachers teach and students learn, it is not only an important way to consolidate and digest knowledge, to cultivate creative thinking, to improve the moral accomplishment and to exercise practice ability; but also is an essential basis for teachers to know about situation of students' classroom learning, then adjust their own teaching work. Ideological and political homework which is an complement of ideological and political class teaching of high school is the essential part of ideological and political teaching design, it is also the basic way of learning political knowledge, cultivating political quality and forming a certain political skills, and then it is a main channel to feedback the effect of learning ideological and political course, it bears the important role of organizing and coordinating students in the aspect of attitude and values of knowledge,ability, emotion.The importance of Ideological and political homework demands its importance in the ideological and political teaching.Ideological and political teaching design which is the essential part of teaching can cultivate students to learn political knowledge,practice hands-on ability, and feedback quality of teaching. But, through investigation and study found, there exist these situations in the actual teaching:some of the high school teachers often assign same homework to all students, but this ignores the differences of intelligence and personality between students. The form of homework is also limited in taking and reciting, it is simple, mechanical, repetitive, and it can not interest students. Homework sources mostly off-the-shelf counseling information, exercise books, some materials are old and they can not inspect learning effect very well, etc.There are many problems in high school ideological and political homework design.At present, scholars at home and abroad have a lot of material in terms of homework design, in our country, it also needs all the effort of educators and first-line teachers on the basis of absorbing and using the experience of others to solve the problems in the homework design of high school. Professor Howard Gardner first proposed multiple intelligence theory which opens s new way to optimize the design of the homework for us, and it leads us to know the measures of solving design problems in a new way, and it also provides enlightenment and reference on the design of ideological and political homework. Therefore, this paper draws lessons from the multiple intelligence theory, combining with our own practicing experiences and analysis of investigating ideological and political homework, then puts forward some suggestions to optimize the homework design and hope to provide enlightenment for the political teacher in high school.This paper mainly discusses from the following three aspects:The first part elaborates the theory of multiple intelligence is the meaning, characteristic, definition and function of ideological and political homework design, and the inspirations of multiple intelligence theory. Professor Gardner believes that man's intelligence is multiple and developing, he thinks every individual has at least eight kinds of intelligence which presents the characteristics of diversity and difference. Homework is designed on the basis of political teaching and the students' knowledge level, and under the guidance of ideological and political course objectives and curriculum standards in high school, analysing problems in the design of homework, then doing targeted, scientific process on the content and form of homework. Homework design has an important role in strengthening knowledge of ideological and political discipline, training students' practical ability, and building scientific values.Professor Gardner's multiple intelligence theory provides a new way for design and optimization of homework, and it has many inspirations for homework design, such as diversified form of homework and content must be rich, etc.In the second part, problems and the reasons occurred in current high school ideological and political course homework design are analyzed. Based on own teaching experience, survey result of high school ideological and political course homework design current state is analyzed and researched. There are several problems in ideological and political course homework design: boring homework contents, keep away from life; single homework form and hidebound patterns; task difficulty inequality, lack hierarchy; single homework purpose and emphasize “biradical” and so on. Based on the interview of high school politics teachers, this paper analyzed the reasons of problems occurred in high school ideological and political course homework design; such as the traditional teaching concept, the huge pressure of College Entrance Examination, the shortcomings of teaching evaluation mechanism and the limitation of teachers ability.In the third part, the optimization of high school ideological and political course homework under the direction of multiple intelligence theory is presented. Firstly, it is presented that high school ideological and political course homework design should obey principles of diversification, differentiation and innovation. Secondly, under the direction of multiple intelligence theory, design strategy of high school ideological and political course homework is presented, The following five angles are analyzed: first of all, renew the concept of teacher homework design; enhance homework design ability. Secondly, homework content close to life and show interest. Thirdly, rich homework forms and highlight the hierarchy. Fourth, diversified homework evaluation: diversified homework evaluation mode and evaluation subject. Fifth, single intelligence homework design: design specific homework for students with different intelligence and promote the multiple intelligence comprehensive development of the students.
